The past couple of weeks have been challenging with kids and the fur baby, but this week things seem to be getting closer to “normal.” I’ve been trying to get caught up with several projects around here, including doing a bit of spring home decor. Since we don’t like a lot of “stuff” all over our house (I used to be the Queen of Knick Knacks back when I didn’t mind dusting all that stuff – it really is pretty to see lots of beautiful stuff in every corner of a house, but I’m over that phase of life!), I like to find ideas and inspiration that allows for pretty but somewhat practical, too. You know, just keeping it real here, because we do actually live in every room of our house. For this week’s Home Matters Linky Party #228 theme, decorating tips for spring, I went searching for a few easy and cheerful ways to bring spring into our home. All on a budget, of course, and using stuff we already have on hand. Here’s what I discovered . . . . #DecoratingTips #DecoratingIdeas #HomeMattersParty
Light Pink and White Blossoms in a Watering Can from Umelav
Vintage Chest and Wooden Box with Spring Blossoms from Hmonglanguage
PS When I was searching for spring decorating inspiration, I did come across oodles and oodles of gorgeous images of perfectly gorgeous home decor ideas . . . but even though it was tempting to think that someday I might be able to pull something that amazing off here in our humble abode, I quickly realized that I would do much better with a few plain ol’ ordinary decorating ideas. If you are anything like me, you probably get rather overwhelmed by all of that home interior perfection. So, please join me in taking a look around at all that we already have and see what we can do to bring spring into our home right now, even on a budget. I would love to see what you come up with!
