Show mom just how special she is with these fabulous Mother’s Day celebration ideas. Make mom feel like a queen! Plus, link up at Home Matters with recipes, DIY, crafts, decor.
Sorry . . . not sorry! I just couldn’t resist. After contemplating what I wanted to include in this Mother’s Day celebration ideas collection for this week’s #HomeMattersParty #182, I decided that it should be something practical. After many years of celebrating Mother’s Day, both as a mother and a daughter, my brain gets kinds of paralyzed trying to come up with new, fun, and creative ideas. And when my girls ask me, “Mom, what do you want for Mother’s Day?” . . . . before I can actually answer . . . . they both recite in unison: “I know, I know, you want world peace, but we can’t make that happen so what ELSE do you want for Mother’s Day?” #MothersDay #HomeMattersParty
But the other reality in my life these days is that I’m trying to do the trendy thing called minimize. Not because I care whether or not its trendy, but because I’m really ready to have fewer things sitting around that I need to dust or babysit. So something that would actually get used is a big plus in my mind for this as well as every other gift-giving event. So I went looking for practical gifts for Mother’s Day – you know, something that a mom would really want and would use in daily life. But, as it turns out, I got sidetracked as soon as I saw a few of the adorable Mason jar Mother’s Day gift ideas!
Yes, yes, I know . . . we’ve done the whole Mason jar thing too many times to the point that we are all very well aware of pretty much all of the really cool things you can do with those humble storage containers. But I simply couldn’t resist! So here are a few that I found, that are somewhat, kinda-sorta practical, and might be a gift that I wouldn’t mind moving around occasionally to dust around. Who knows, I might actually use! So here’s to all of you who are searching Pinterest, and racking your brain for a fun, creative Mother’s Day gift . . . . check out the ones I might try and let me know what you think!
