Every week when I am out and about, visiting lots of other bloggers to see what they’re working on, I always think to myself, “I have to share this one with my readers!” And then, of course, life happens and I have to keep right on moving, taking care of all the other responsibilities on my days. But there are just so many amazing ideas out here, that I really want to feature some of my favorites. Of course, I won’t have time to try all of the ideas I come across, but it still keeps me motivated and inspired to create my own fun projects. Here are a few that I found at last week’s Favorite Things Blog Hop and Linky Party . . . I hope they inspire you as much as they’ve inspired me to keep on making new stuff!
Just one more reason to get back to my journaling projects! I’ve seen so many different ways to journal, from Bible journaling to art journaling, to prayer journals and gratitude journals, that I’m thinking there is a journaling style that is just right for everyone. I already have several journals, but I sometimes get busy and forget to include journaling in my day, so one of my goals in this new year is to be more intentional about some of these kinds of things that are really important, but don’t call my name quite as loudly or insistently as some other projects. This blog post has inspired me to get back on track!
With Valentine’s Day just a couple of weeks away (it always sneaks up on me for some reason!), I was looking for a fun DIY project that we could do here at home and I came across this pretty DIY Valentine Heart Wreath from Vintage Southern Picks. This was just one of the DIY projects in the Craft Room De-Stash over at C’mon, get Crafty. I think they do that challenge every month, so I’m hoping to join the fun this coming month. Along with all the other things I’m working on . . . .

Michelle from Our Crafty Mom always has fun DIY projects, so when I came across this one over at Centsible Chateau, I just fell in “LOVE” with it! The soft color combination of rosy pink with gold and ivory is so beautiful and the simple message on the stripe background, all together creates a gorgeous sign, just perfect for Valentine’s Day . . . or really, ANY day at all! If you want to try to make your own Valentine’s Day Love Sign, you can find the tutorial HERE. Please visit Michelle at Our Crafty Mom for lots of other DIY projects throughout the year.
A Tale of Two SistersA Tale of Two Sisters
by Dany at My Little Old World
Have you ever “met” someone across the miles, through the magic of the internet, and discovered a kindred spirit? That is exactly what happened when I first “met” Dany through blogging about a year or so ago. She lives in Europe, and somehow we began corresponding and discovered that we love many of the same kinds of things in life. Over at her blog, My Little Old World, she shares beautiful images and music that is simply delightful! So when I came across this blog post, although it isn’t about making anything, it was such a treasure to read a bit of European history, which has always been of interest to me. Please pop over to read her blog post, “A Tale of Two Sisters: Queen Victoria’s Granddaughters.” Especially if you have been watching the TV series, “Victoria,” on PBS. Fascinating reading!
And so ends today’s blog post with a few of the ideas that have been an inspiration to me for the week ahead . . . now off I go to take my girls to a doctor appointment before heading back home to take care of a few more things around here. Then I might have a bit of time this evening to create my own fun DIY projects! If I do, I’ll be sure to share them with you. In the meantime, have a great week and be creative every day!
