Autumn is my favorite time of year for lots of reasons. The first one is the beautiful colors of autumn. I love the warm golds, reds, oranges, and browns, but I’ve really been finding lots of bright pinks, dark maroons, and purples popping up among the more traditional shades of the season. Since we are currently in the middle of several huge home update projects, I probably won’t get my yard and garden as beautiful as I would like it to be, but the cooler weather certainly makes it much easier to get out there and prepare things for winter.
The second reason that I love autumn is because we all seem to take a bit more time to reflect on life, relationships, and personal growth this time of year. The past year has been challenging for our family, especially with all of the work we’ve been doing here in our house, so I am ready to move forward with all of the exciting things that God has in store for all of us and celebrate the changing of the seasons. I’ve heard that autumn is the time of year when we realize how beautiful it can be to let things go . . . and so, in my quest to simplify our lives and focus on the truly precious moments of life, I celebrate the arrival of October! I hope you will discover joy and blessings for you and your family during this special time of year, too.
