Wow! January sure flew by! But that’s a good thing, isn’t it? So, we haven’t had that yucky flu that’s going around (still doing everything we can to stay healthy!), and we haven’t had our annual bout with bronchitis, sinus infections, coughs, colds, and sore throats. I’m so grateful that we have been healthy so far this winter. But I am still ready for spring, aren’t you? That’s just one of the reasons I love February – I know, so of you hate the month of February, but I’ve always felt like it is just one step closer to spring, and so I remain hopeful. Even when I’ve been battling the winter blues, I try to remind myself that February comes just before March, and March comes right before April, and then . . . it’s spring!
We had several new activities here at Vintage Mama’s Cottage, making it challenging for me to keep up with all of my blogging, writing, and editing projects, not to mention my time out in my sewing studio has been severely limited, and that makes me kind of sad. But I really do feel like I’m making progress every day towards some of my goals for this year, and so I carry on, some days are more productive than others, and some days I just have to keep on moving to keep life from rolling right over the top of me!
I hope you are encouraged by the arrival of February, and that you will join me in celebrating love during this month of Valentine’s Day. Here in our family we are celebrating the love of friends and family, neighbors and community, and especially the love of GOD who loved us so much that He sent His only Son to be our Savior. That is something to celebrate, not just in February, but all year long! I hope you will stop by for a visit when you have time, and be sure to pop in for the weekly blog linky parties and the amazing giveaways, sponsored by Katherine’s Corner. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
